The Manual Tool Changer is our own design, built at TMC for teams that run one cobot with several end effectors but do not need a fully automatic tool change. You mount the cobot side once, put a tool side under every gripper or tool you use, and from then on switching takes a couple of seconds by hand.
Locking is automatic. Push the tool side into the cobot side and the mechanism catches on its own, so there is nothing to tighten and nothing that can be forgotten. To take a tool off again you press the release button and pull it free. No wrenches, no loose bolts on the shop floor and no risk of a half tightened tool.
The changer carries payloads up to 10 kg and mounts straight onto the tool flange of your Fairino cobot. It is purely mechanical, so there are no air or electrical pass throughs. A tool that needs power or compressed air keeps its own cable or hose, which you unplug along with the tool.
Manual or pneumatic tool changer?
Choose the manual version when someone is at the machine anyway at the moment of the change, for example a machine tending cell that switches between two grippers at the start of a new batch. It costs less, needs no valve, no air line and no extra wiring, and it is mounted in minutes. Choose the Pneumatic Quick Tool Changer when the cobot has to pick up and drop its own tools during the program, with nobody standing next to it.
The Manual Tool Changer comes as a complete set with one cobot side and three tool sides, or as separate parts when you want to add tool sides later.
