Cables & Cable Management

The Fairino Extension Cable is designed to increase the distance between a Fairino collaborative robot and its controller.

In many installations the controller cannot be placed directly next to the robot — for example when it needs to be mounted in a separate room, inside a control cabinet, or simply further away from the robot cell. This extension cable provides an additional 11 metres of reach, giving you the freedom to position the controller wherever it suits your setup.

The cable connects directly to the standard 4-metre Fairino cable, creating a total cable length of 15 metres between the robot arm and the controller. No additional adapters or modifications are required.

The Fairino Extension Cable is compatible with all Fairino cobot models, making it a universal solution across the entire Fairino range.

Key Features

  • Adds 11 metres of distance between cobot and controller
  • Connects to the standard 4 m Fairino cable
  • Total reach of up to 15 metres
  • Compatible with all Fairino cobot models
  • Plug-and-play connection, no modifications required
  • Industrial-grade construction for reliable operation

Technical Specifications

  • Cable Length: 11 metres
  • Cable Diameter: 11 mm

Custom Tooling for Cobots, Engineered and Built In-House

Not every application can be solved with a standard gripper. When your part, cycle time or process needs something specific, we design and manufacture custom end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for Fairino collaborative robots — entirely in-house, from first concept to a tested, production-ready tool.

Whether you need to pick a single delicate component or handle several parts in one cycle, we build the tooling around your application instead of forcing your application around a standard product.

What we can build

  • Custom grippers — single or multiple grippers on one tool, in pneumatic, electric, or a combination of both.
  • Vacuum tooling — suction-cup and foam grippers for sheet, box and irregular parts.
  • Passive tooling — non-actuated tools, holders, probes and specialty end effectors.
  • Fixtures and adapter plates — to mount, locate and orient parts or tools precisely.
  • Precision-machined parts — in-house machining (milling/turning) for the mechanical components your tool needs.
  • Multi-tool and quick-change setups — when one cobot has to handle several tasks.

From very simple to very complex

Custom tooling can be as straightforward as a modified fingertip, or as advanced as a multi-gripper, multi-sensor system. We scale the solution to what your application actually requires — no more, no less.

How it works — a process together with you

  1. Application review — we look at your part(s), the task, cycle time and environment.
  2. Concept & design — we design the tooling in-house and align it with you.
  3. Manufacturing — we build and machine the tool in-house for full control over quality and lead time.
  4. Testing (optional) — when needed, we run tests so you know the tool performs before it goes into production.
  5. Integration — the tool arrives ready to mount on your Fairino cobot.

Why in-house design and manufacturing

Because we design and make the tooling ourselves, we keep control over quality, fit and timing. That means faster iterations, tooling that matches your exact part, and a single point of contact from idea to finished tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can you build a gripper with more than one gripper on it?
Yes. We build single- and multi-gripper tools, so one cobot can pick several parts or handle multiple steps in a single cycle.

Pneumatic or electric grippers?
Both — and combinations of the two on the same tool, depending on what your application needs.

Do you also make passive (non-actuated) tooling?
Yes, including holders, probes and specialty end effectors, plus fixtures and adapter plates.

Do you machine parts in-house?
Yes. Machining is done in-house, which keeps quality and lead time under our control.

Can you test the tooling first?
When required, we run tests so the tool is validated before it reaches your production line.

Which robots is this for?
Custom tooling is designed for Fairino collaborative robots (cobots) and comparable industrial robots.

What does it cost?
Because every tool is built to your application, pricing is on request — contact us with your part and task and we'll work out the right solution.

Cobot Pedestal — a Stable 1-Metre Base for Any Collaborative Robot

The Cobot Pedestal is a floor-anchored stand that gives your collaborative robot a fixed, ergonomic working height. At 1 metre tall, it lifts the cobot off the bench and into the operator's natural working zone, and because it is bolted directly into the floor, it stays exactly where you put it — no rolling, no flexing, no wasted space.

It is engineered to be stable yet slim: a rigid column that takes up very little floor area, so your cell stays open and your operators keep their room to work.

The pedestal is constructed from reinforced aluminium profiles mounted on a powder-coated steel base plate, with a matching powder-coated steel interface plate on top. The steel ground plate spreads the load and anchors the stand to the floor, while the reinforced aluminium column keeps the robot mount rigid and vibration-stable during motion — important for accuracy and repeatability.

Fits all cobot types

The top interface plate carries a universal bolt pattern, so the pedestal accepts all common collaborative robot models. A central opening runs through the column for clean cable and air-line routing from the robot down to the floor.

Why a fixed pedestal

  • Ergonomic working height — the robot sits at the right height for the task and the operator.
  • Rock-solid mounting — floor anchoring keeps positioning and repeatability consistent.
  • Slim footprint — a compact column frees up floor space around the cell.
  • Clean integration — central cable pass-through keeps the workspace tidy and safe.
  • Universal fit — one base for whichever cobot you run now or later.

Frequently asked questions

How tall is the pedestal?
1 metre, designed to bring the cobot to a comfortable working height.

Which cobots does it fit?
The universal interface plate fits all common collaborative robot types. Tell us your model and we'll confirm the mounting.

How is it fixed in place?
It is anchored (drilled/bolted) directly into the floor through the steel base plate for a permanent, stable installation.

What is it made of?
Reinforced aluminium profiles on a powder-coated steel base plate, with a powder-coated steel interface plate on top.

Is it stable enough for fast motion?
Yes — the reinforced aluminium column and steel base are built to stay rigid and vibration-stable, which supports accuracy and repeatability.

Can cables run through it?
Yes, there's a central pass-through for routing cables and air lines down through the column.
