Yes. FAIRINO cobots support standard communication protocols such as Modbus TCP and Profinet and include an open SDK for C++, Python, and C#. This makes it easy to connect with existing PLCs, CNC machines, and vision systems without being locked into a closed ecosystem.

By default every Fairino cobot leaves the factory with NPN (sinking) digital inputs. Only the AC wide-voltage version of the 2 kW mini control box can be switched to PNP (sourcing) inputs. The DC control box and the AC narrow-voltage control box are NPN-only. On a wide-voltage control box the input type is set by a DIP switch inside the control box: set the switch to the EX-24V position for NPN input, or to the EX-0V position for PNP input. After changing the DIP switch, wire the DI0-DI7 inputs to the matching NPN or PNP diagram in the Fairino manual, and if needed adjust the 'DI0-DI7 General Input Valid Status' setting in the software so the valid level matches your sensor. Not sure whether your control box is the wide-voltage version? Check its input voltage rating: a wide-voltage box accepts about 100-240 V AC (PNP possible), while a narrow-voltage box only accepts about 178-264 V AC (NPN only).

A wide-voltage box accepts roughly 100-240 V AC, while a narrow-voltage box only accepts about 178-264 V AC. So if your input voltage range starts at 100 V it is the wide-voltage box and PNP is possible; if it starts at 178 V it is the narrow-voltage box and only NPN is supported.

The robot control port (button box interface) has the default IP address 192.168.58.2. Set your computer to 192.168.58.10 (same network segment), then open Google Chrome and go to 192.168.58.2 to reach the web interface (WebApp). The default administrator login is username admin with password 123. Other default roles exist too, such as operator (555) and monitor (666). Change the default password after your first login.
