Museum exhibition cobot: a Fairino FR10 presents archaeological artefacts at Atelier Pandore's FRAGMENT
For FRAGMENT, a museum exhibition in Sarre-Union (Alsace, France), museographer Anatole Boule of Atelier Pandore put a Fairino FR10 cobot at the heart of the story. The visitor stands in front of Pandora's box, and the cobot carefully takes out archaeological objects found nearby, shows them and puts them back.
How the setup works
- Five archaeological objects from five different periods are stored in the box
- The visitor starts the sequence, and the FR10 picks an object and presents it
- After the presentation the cobot returns the object to its place, ready for the next visitor
- Smooth, controlled movements let the robot handle pieces that have survived for hundreds of years
Why it matters
This project shows that collaborative robots go far beyond the factory floor. In a museum, the cobot becomes part of the storytelling and makes fragile heritage accessible, while staying reliable day after day.
