Textile automation: modular cobot line for denim jeans at Fashiocube

Fashiocube, a textile manufacturer in northern France, automates the first steps of denim jeans production with a modular cobot line built by TMC Robotics — three Fairino FR5 cobots and one FR10 working as one integrated line.

How the line works

  • Inspection & positioning of the denim parts with cameras and position detection
  • Assembly of the denim parts
  • Sewing with a CNC sewing machine and a cobot moving in sync with it

The line produces one side of the trouser; a second, mirrored line makes the other side. The modular setup is built to grow step by step, so modules can be added as production expands.

Why it matters

Garment production is labour-intensive and repetitive. By combining camera inspection, cobot assembly and cobot-synced CNC sewing in one line, Fashiocube gets consistent quality and a scalable way to automate textile manufacturing.

Frequently asked questions

How many cobots run in the Fashiocube production line?

Four Fairino cobots — three FR5 units and one FR10 — work together as one integrated, modular line for denim jeans production.

What tasks do the cobots handle in this textile line?

Camera-based inspection and positioning of the denim parts, assembly of the parts, and sewing with a CNC sewing machine while a cobot moves in sync with it.

Can the line be extended later?

Yes. The modular setup is designed to grow step by step: modules can be added as production expands, and a second mirrored line produces the other side of the trouser.

Why use cobots in textile manufacturing?

Garment production is labour-intensive and repetitive. Combining camera inspection, cobot assembly and cobot-synced CNC sewing gives consistent quality and a scalable way to automate.
