Custom Tooling for Cobots, Engineered and Built In-House
Not every application can be solved with a standard gripper. When your part, cycle time or process needs something specific, we design and manufacture custom end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for Fairino collaborative robots — entirely in-house, from first concept to a tested, production-ready tool.
Whether you need to pick a single delicate component or handle several parts in one cycle, we build the tooling around your application instead of forcing your application around a standard product.
What we can build
- Custom grippers — single or multiple grippers on one tool, in pneumatic, electric, or a combination of both.
- Vacuum tooling — suction-cup and foam grippers for sheet, box and irregular parts.
- Passive tooling — non-actuated tools, holders, probes and specialty end effectors.
- Fixtures and adapter plates — to mount, locate and orient parts or tools precisely.
- Precision-machined parts — in-house machining (milling/turning) for the mechanical components your tool needs.
- Multi-tool and quick-change setups — when one cobot has to handle several tasks.
From very simple to very complex
Custom tooling can be as straightforward as a modified fingertip, or as advanced as a multi-gripper, multi-sensor system. We scale the solution to what your application actually requires — no more, no less.
How it works — a process together with you
- Application review — we look at your part(s), the task, cycle time and environment.
- Concept & design — we design the tooling in-house and align it with you.
- Manufacturing — we build and machine the tool in-house for full control over quality and lead time.
- Testing (optional) — when needed, we run tests so you know the tool performs before it goes into production.
- Integration — the tool arrives ready to mount on your Fairino cobot.
Why in-house design and manufacturing
Because we design and make the tooling ourselves, we keep control over quality, fit and timing. That means faster iterations, tooling that matches your exact part, and a single point of contact from idea to finished tool.
Frequently asked questions
Can you build a gripper with more than one gripper on it?
Yes. We build single- and multi-gripper tools, so one cobot can pick several parts or handle multiple steps in a single cycle.
Pneumatic or electric grippers?
Both — and combinations of the two on the same tool, depending on what your application needs.
Do you also make passive (non-actuated) tooling?
Yes, including holders, probes and specialty end effectors, plus fixtures and adapter plates.
Do you machine parts in-house?
Yes. Machining is done in-house, which keeps quality and lead time under our control.
Can you test the tooling first?
When required, we run tests so the tool is validated before it reaches your production line.
Which robots is this for?
Custom tooling is designed for Fairino collaborative robots (cobots) and comparable industrial robots.
What does it cost?
Because every tool is built to your application, pricing is on request — contact us with your part and task and we'll work out the right solution.
